Zimbabwe’s United States-based roots reggae singer/songwriter Kulcha Far I, born Christopher Bongani Hakata in Harare, Zimbabwe, is hoisting the African roots reggae flag up high on an international level. Kulcha, like many youths growing up at that time, took off on his reggae journey when Bob Marley and the Wailers came to play at Zimbabwe’s independence in April 1980.
