Dany Engobo Les Coeurs Brisés Girls -

Dany Engobo brings on tour an entourage of girls which is the backbone in his staging. To many, Dany is no new comer to the scene this the Ndombolo at its best. This tour was a great experience for the multitudes of our Rhumba/Soukous/Ndombolo/Sebene (you name it) fans to put on their dancing shoes. The tour began in Dallas where big things have been happening in the African music business, move down to Houston where Dany has a large following and last in the Washington DC area. Keep watching this space for the 2008 tour.

Dany is the 4th in a family of seven children. He was already a member of his church's choir at the age of 6. Later, he became a member of his school vocal group, and it was clear that singing was what he wanted to do. Surprisingly at the age of 13, he he formed his own first music band known as Lolango (translates Love). Of course, his parents wanted him to follow other pedagogical streams; hence he was sent to school in France purposly to deter him from indulging in his passion for his musical talent, which was alarmingly becoming his priority.
He studied Management and Marketing, and for the following decade live as an accountant. He then decided to return to his original instincts and relaunched his musical career by producing, in 1984, an album with his buddy Megot Marcelin.
After that, he deliberatly took another five years well spent in his education. In 1989 he formed the group "Couer Briser"(Broken Hearts). Coeur Briser has since been famous and still enjoys wide popularity. The girls, the girls, the girls!!!
