Born in Congo, relocated to Uganda, and currently residing in Kenya, Samba Mapangala and Orchestra Virunga combine a variety of styles and gives a true mix of Central African music. They play an innovative blend of the best rumba and soukous from Congo, with the earthier Kenyan style. Samba composes and sings in both Lingala and Kiswahili.
