Traditional African music and Ndombolo lovers in Dallas are to get another treat, with some just announced shows across the US. The enegertic Congolese KORA Music Award winner and Rhumba maestro Awilo Longomba is back in the United States. Among other cities Dallas is home to thousands of Congolese and a multitude of Rhumba/Soukous/Makossa or Coupé décalé followers from Africa.

Arguably the Kenyans followed by Cameroonians top the list in attendance, but the Sudanese always end up scooping the prize DVDs from this artist in dance competitions. Sierra Leone, Gambia, Ghana, Tanzania, Zambia, Nigeria and Zimbabwe fans vowed from the last show at the Eryka Badu's Black Forest Theater to show the Congolese how they have perfected Ndombolo.

Awilo plays at the Palm Beach Reggae Club on August 23, where another African superstar Oliver Mtukudzi just had a memorable performance that featured various groups, among them was Joel Laviolette  & Rattletree Marimba, Code Red, Tichaona Maredza, CEE JAY, and mbira player Ian Mukwere.
